Classic Cottages

The Coach House at Westerdale can easily be described as one of the classic cottages in the area. It was formerly the coach house and gun room attached to Westerdale Hall which was designed by Thomas Henry Wyatt and was built as a hunting lodge for the Duncombe family around 1874 allowing the gentry to shoot for grouse. Westerdale Hall after the second world war became a youth hostel but it was not until the 80’s the Coach House was converted into a residential property.

The coach house has been sympathetically converted and furnished making it without doubt one the the classic cottages in the Yorkshire moors and is an ideal base to explore the area or is perfect to get away from it all and relax.
