Dog Friendly Cottages in Yorkshire

Finding dog friendly cottages in Yorkshire is always difficult as many owners are reluctant to let visitors bring a dog fearing the dog will cause damage to the cottage and more importantly it’s furnishings.

The Coach House is one of the few dog friendly cottages in Yorkshire and we always welcome owners with their dogs. The cottage has an enclosed courtyard where your dog can wander safely and a private garden where they can have a run around.

We know a dog is part of the family and we want you to enjoy walking your dog in some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country. Bring along your pets bed or favorite blanket and let them enjoy the cottage as much as we hope you will.

There are countless walks to enjoy taking in the spectacular scenery of the North Yorkshire moors and the pretty villages in the dales and you’ll find a lot of pubs offering food and allow you to take your dog in with you. The Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge always welcomes dogs and you’ll enjoy some of the best food and drink here sat in front of log fires in one of the most remote locations in the UK.

The Lion is often inaccessible at times during the winter due to being so high on the moors and several feet of snow making it impossible for even four wheel drive vehicles gaining access. Take a look at the photo’s in the pub and you’ll appreciate how severe it can get.

So if you’re looking for dog friendly cottages in Yorkshire the coach house Westerdale may be the perfect choice. Have a look at our reviews to see what our guests think and how their dogs enjoyed the stay. We hope to see you soon.
